I was curious how long most of you spent in the hospital after surgery? How long before you went back to work?

I spend 4 days and I am off for 6 weeks

Two nights in the hospital, 2.5 weeks off but could have used a more time off due to energy level.

I night in hospital & had mine over the holidays so I had about 3 weeks off...but I felt good enough that i could've gone back in a week if it wasn't a holiday & we were off anyway.

Was it easy to do light housework right away? My husband works out of town most of the time so I wonder if I will need a friend to stay with me.

My surgery is Monday and I was told that I should not plan to lift or do much house work for a couple weeks. You should have some one with you at least for the first week. I plan to go back to work in a week...I hope...Good luck to you.

I was in hospital for 3 days, and off 2.5 weeks. For the first week to 3 weeks you won't have much energy for doing housework or anything else for that matter.

I was in for two nights and went back to work a week after surgery. I have a desk job though. No energy and napped when I got home. No house work for a while I am just now back to normal energy and surgery was 12/18.

Good Luck

One night in the hospital and went back to work 3 weeks later. The only restrictions were not to lift anything over ten pounds, so because I have large dog I couldn't walk him. The three weeks was perfect because I was able to get into my new eating routine without being distracted at work.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
