I am on meds & wasn't denied. I guess it depends on what meds...if your on a blood thinner that could cause problems. Check with your doc.

That shouldn't be a problem. & no, the size of your stomach won't change your dosage...but as you get smaller & your body size decreases they may lower your dosage. Just be honest with your doc...good luck on your journey!

I'm on Zoloft and I'm just over 3 weeks post op. I had a bit of a hard time taking it the first week post op, but I break it in half and am able to get it down fine now.

Good luck!

This shouldnt hinder your surgery approval, a lot of us are on meds, i got approved and i take 6 pills a day. Thats why we are having surgery to get healthy and get off meds...

i normally take zoloft everyday. the first few days after surgery i was taking my pills fine (go figure) but after a couple of days i kept getting severe heartburn. so i stopped taking them for 2 weeks until my ppi kicked in. i took half of my dose (one pill) tonight for the first time and had a little bit of an uncomfortable feeling but not nearly as bad as it was. i dont think my dose needs to change but boy does it affect my tummy differently.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
