I'm going to assume you are newly sleeved ??

If so you should measure out at about 2oz of Protein and consume that first. If you have room in your tummy after that go to the veggies.

Yes then by all means don't push it! Most important things right now are getting your fluids in (60 to 80oz) and Protein goals ( around 60 grams)

As time goes on you will be able to consume more.

That's a hard one.. I'm 2 plus months out so there is no way I could eat 6 oz of protein..

But if you were eating things like Soup or yogurt you could get more in.

I think at some point you will be able to yes.

I say that because I'm eating mostly Protein right now so I can't eat a lot yet. For example 2 oz of chicken meat and then I can get in a couple of broccoli florets.

That my dear is a full time job!! Really if I over sleep on the weekend I'm in trouble! Or if I have a busy day I've told my husband I wish I could walk Around with an I.V. hook up :)

You really have to drink all day, even if you don't feel thirsty. It really helps the weight loss too so just keep it up!

30 pounds is great! And as far as two bottles of Water it depends on the size of the bottle. If they are 33oz great if they are 16oz not so great you need more.

Hope this helps :)

I just feel like it is slow...It is very hard for me to get fluids in at work..I try to take a drink here and there inbetween patients but its very hard when you are told not to drink 30 min before or after eating. I am also still very tender where they removed the stomach especially in the mornings...is this normal?

I totally agree with you. I am 3 weeks out. I'm either drinking or eating. I just ate 3 slices of felt meat and two tablespoons of cottage cheese and I'm stuffed. I could not finish my shake this am because it finally made me nauseous. You have lost more than me. Since the surgery I have lost 7 pounds and average 600 calories a day. I feel like I'm doing it wrong. Then when I look back I had 1/4 cup of cottage cheese!!! It's frustrating.

Water is hard but make it a priority! And yes all sort of aches and pains go with the territory I remember at 4 weeks just starting to feel somewhat normal..

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
