You could start to ease back into it. I was back in the gym less than a week post op, but only walked for a while. Dr. didn't want me lifting much until a month out. I would take it easy and listen to your body, but some arm and shoulder work probably would be okay. I wouldn't do crunches, squats or any real leg work for at least another month. I am at 2 months and am just now getting back to the lower parts of my workout.

Each doctor is different - I think we were sleeved on the same day (12/26), My doctor has released me to excercise - I have a limit of 20 pounds. He said "listen to your body. If you feel a pinch - STOP and wait another week." I'm doing light weights (3 pounds), treadmill and elliptical - 4 times a week. Doing fine so far. Good luck to you.

I haven't been cleared yet for going in the Water. I want to take Zumba and spin etc buttttt I'm still only eating 600-800 calories a day and on full liquid. The treadmill wipes me out after 30 minutes and I don't want to burn off all 600 calories that I have consumed. I should b cleared for purée fri! I think that will be my green light. Thoughts?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
