Thank God for this topic coming up. I am a basket case when I get home too. I can rant and rave about the counter not being wiped off. When I went to my Dr. and told her I had terrile mood swings and hot flashes. She said it was becasue my hormones are all over the place and that they will be for awhile. I also complained of back pain' date=' which she said is totally normal because alfter losing so much weight in such a short period of time that our bodies are adjusting to a new center of gravity..[/quote']

Spot on! I struggled so badly with this first full period post-op because I couldn't turn to food. Nor can I turn to it for any other frustration, mood or celebration. So yeah, I've also been doing a lot of things that I previously wouldn't have focused on. :)

This is exactly the fear I have (I am pre-op)...I know that I use food to soothe my anxiety...and one of the reasons I can't stay on a diet is that if I am craving food and start feeling anxious, I go ahead and eat because my fear of having a panic attack is greater than the fear of the consequences of overeating...but I know that I have to do something to break this emotional cycle, and I am hoping that prayer will help me overcome what I believe is going to be a difficult emotional recovery, and that the result will be a healthier me--both physically and emotionally

Honestly I had my surgery oct 31st and I just started feeling sane a week or so ago. But I still have moments lol.

Prednisone and hormones....UGH now I am afraid to be sleeved.... 16 years of prednisone ...liver transplant 41yrs old...

I am still on lexapro, ativan as needed and Ambian to sleep as needed. No additional problems! Beta Blocker because my heart races.
