New here... Aetna... worried :(

Recommended Posts

Hi TalibahT, Your right, it does depend on the agreement between company (employer) and Aetna and even though Aetna says it will cover 100% there are guidelines that still must be followed to obtain the pre-certification so a good insurance secretary at the Doctors office should know what those guidelines are and let you know. Follow to the letter and you should have no problems. Good Luck!

How do I post a new thread on here? I'm using the iPhone app?

Go to the forum option, select the category you want your post to be listed under, then hit the arrow in the right top corner and it will say start a thread or new thread. :)

I got approved 37 BMI thru Aetna I am 2 weeks post surgery and I had my approval within 24 hrs

Sent from my iPhone 5 using VST

I also have a BMI of 37, do you have any comorbidities? I have elevated BP, but never been treated for it...I was hoping to lose the weight. Now I am having a sleep study to try the sleep apnea diagnoses.

Thanks for all the responses!! I have an appointment with the pulmonologist on Thursday so hopefully I will know more about the possible sleep apnea. Fingers crossed, lol!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
