Help! I'm getting scared.

Recommended Posts

I noticed a lump above my belly button and saw my doctor who told me I have a hernia and would have to have surgery. Ok that's fine but my concern is my surgery is two weeks away and I have been having sharp pains in my left leg that keeps waking me out of my sleep at night which has just started. I don't want anything more serious to happen. Should I call my doctor? Has anyone experienced this? Please help!!

My surgery is tomorrow at 11:00. I still have a lot of pain but my doctor told me if it's not constant I should be okay until surgery. I'm so happy it's almost over.

Hi Chris54 I had to spend a night in the hospital after the surgery. My blood pressure dropped and I wasn't able to hold down solid food. I did have the mesh put in and my doc assured me that I shouldn't have any problems with it. I'm so glad to be home now. Thank you so much.

I didn't have a clot but the doc said the pain in my leg was related to the hernia....weird but I haven't felt the leg pain since the surgery.

Yes I would call. If there is one piece of advice I could give you when I consider this post is that you should keep your doctor fully in the loop.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
