I think I got this from skinnytaste.com, but not sure. It was pretty good! Enjoy!
    Asian Glazed Drumsticks
8 medium chicken drumsticks, skin removed
    olive oil spray
    1 c. Water
1Tbsp Sriracha hot sause (more or less, to taste) > can get from Walmart, in Asian food section (bottle with rooster on it)
    1/2 c. balsamic vinegar
    1/2 c. soy sauce
4 tsp agave nectar (or use sugar) > got this from WM too
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 tsp ginger, grated
2 Tbsp chives or scallions, chopped
    1 tsp sesame seeds
In a heavy large saucepan, brown chicken on high for 3 to 4 mins. with a little spray oil. (I used my wok with Pam.) Add water, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, agave, garlic, ginger, hot sauce and cook on high until liquid comes to a boil. reduce heat to low and simmer, covered for about 20 mins. Remove cover and bring heat to high, allowing sauce to reduce down, about 8 to 10 mins, until it becomes a thick glaze, turning chicken occassionally. Keep an eye on the glaze, you don't want it to burn when it starts becoming thick. Transfer chicken to a platter and pour glaze on top. Top with chives and sesame seeds and serve.
    I made 6 drumsticks and through myfitnesspal.com, it calculated out to be 168 cals per piece/15.5 g protein/6.1 g fat/9.2 carbs/5.4 g sugar/827.4 mg sodium.

Demi2 got a reaction from Angela Johnson in Feb 2012- How Are You Doing?
I was sleeved 2/23 and I'm down 51 pounds from 226 to 175 and that's not exercising as much. It felt so good to hit the onezees ;•} I have been able to eat just about everything. The only thing I'm afraid to try is bread which was my weakness especially garlic bread. it's okAy I don't need it anyway. The only complication I have had was I had to have my gallbladder removed a few weeks ago. As soon as I'm feeling better I have vowed to start going to the gym more. I bought the Insanity workout would like to challenge myself for 30 days I'll see I heard it's a beast....wish me luck I know I'm going to need it.

My surgery was 2/4 and I am down 76 lbs. The weight loss has been slow for the last few weeks but I haven't been in the gym as much as before. I am trying to get through a busy time at work and get back on my program. My goal was to lose 100 lbs in 6 months but I was 24 lbs away. So my new goal is to do it by month 9.

Thank goodness for all those who support and understand, as for those others, tell them to try it on their own their whole lives and see what they say. They don't understand. It's not like we just woke up and said I'm going to have WLS. I, for one, have had this struggle most my life (20 years) I'm now 30. So tell them to kiss ur a** and have a great day!

Our sleeves can be very picky at times and even scary. Hope you can find a way to get some more protein in. Let us know how your doing.

Experiment creatively with nutritious foods. It seems that one's palate changes after this surgery and those things you may have eaten before can no longer be tolerated or are unappetizing, and vice-versa. Best of luck.

You might be lactose intolerant because of the surgery-try quitting dairy.

My best friend asked on the day of surgery, "how soon will you see results?" lol. I told her as soon as my big butt starts eating right and exercising!

WOW! It's kinda sad to hear about some of these feelings. I guess I truly am blessed that I am surrounded everyday by such wonderful people that don't judge me and would never dare think of a thing like saying it was the easy way out! I do know how blessed I am with my friends and family and colleagues but this is making me appreciate them so much more. I hope that each and every one of you are supported and commended on such a wonderful thing you are doing by those that you do choose to tell! You are all amazing people that are making big sacrafises for all different reasons such as health, energy, self respect and so many other reasons! I know one big factor for a lot of people is relations with others like being able to keep up with kids/grand kids or having energy to interact with others without the embarrassment of so many of the overweight issues we face which usually makes us the negative center of attention!
I Commend each and every one of you for the choice you made and I hope that you all can find people that accept you and your choice and will always be there to cheer you on every step of this long journey!
The reason I had surgery was to be a good mom who taught healthy eating habits to my children and to have the energy to run and play with them like they deserve from me! Surgery was hands down one of the best choices I've ever made :-) good luck to each of you on your journey!
