Why water is the key to fat metabolism

just wanted to share something I read:

it's no secret that Water is a key ingredient for maxium fat loss. Keeping your body hydreated helps accelrate your metabolism and means you're buring more fat In fact, studies haave shown that drining to little water can cause fat deposits to increas, while driking more can aturally reduce fat deposits. It all has to do with how your body processes fat.

It starts with the kidneys. The need adequate water to wrk well. If they dont't get it, they dump some of thier workload onto the liver. Tha's where the terouble begins because the liver is one of the key organs involved in metabolizing stored fat inot energy. When the kidneys aren't working to capacity, the liver has to pick up the slack. And when the liver is doing the work for the kidneys should be doing, it can't be doing it's job of geeing rid of stored fat and turning it into energy to the best of its ability. That means it metabolizes less fat into energy and mor fat remains stored in your body. The simple fix: drink more water.

I barely get in the 64 oz, for some reason I cant drink as much water when it's cold. I got tired of cyrstal light, picked up some mio and yes baby I am getting that water intake in now.

i just wanted to share this for those that aren't aware.

I drink Crystal Light Lemon/Iced Tea...LOTS of it. I also drink iced water, but like many of you have already said, its tough to drink in the cold weather. I have been slacking big-time on the liquid intake. That is my resolution:drink LOTS more!

jhumphries vitamin water makes me sick lol

Thanks for the info!! I can't drink plain Water either and I live by MIO. My favorite flavor is Mango Peach and I end up buying it online at Amazon because I can't find it here in the stores.

Crystal light has a really good one too. Love mango. It's liquid just like Mio.

Crystal light came out with a liquid also like Mio. The mango is good..

Dasani also makes the flavor drops for your Water now. Strawberry/kiwi is my favorite!!!

It's also by the crystal light at wal-mart.

Yeah, me too. I like the pineapple/coconut flavor from Desani. I have tried a lot of different water enhancers such as Mio, crystal light, propel and ocean spray. Behind Desani, ocean spray and propel are good. Crystal light and Mio both give me a weird taste and feeling in throat and mouth after drinking the all day so I tend to stay away from them unless I do not have anything else. I am also finding I can drink tap water again without extra flavor. It no longer taste metallic or weird tasting. This is good as we have pretty decent water and I can save some money by just drinking the tap water without flavor.

Powerade Zero is good and has electrolytes. Crystal Light Pure (with stevia) is good for bottled water but has 15 calories per serving.

Me too, I couldn't drink tap water before surgery but now I can. I can only drink it out of a Styrofoam cup though, It is so amazing how your taste buds change after your surgery:)

For the first couple of months I could only drink flavored Water to get it down. I can now drink it plain and cold but like others I prefer it to be room temperature. I can get my 64 oz in when I'm at work but I often don't when I'm off. Gotta work on that. I will be 6 months in two weeks and my goal is to get 9.5 off by then. Wish me luck
