Hi. I was sleeved 12-7-12. I don't even like to get on here anymore. I feel like a failure when I do. I was private pay which just adds insult to my injury. I've lost 64-67 lbs since my surgery. I haven't lost weight since August. I'm happier than I was at 259 but I had high hopes of being at a "normal" weight. I normally consume 12-1600 calories. I work in the oilfield so I'm active. I don't "workout". I do walk and am active all day.
I just keep telling myself that I'm healthier now, that's what's the most important.
Btw
5'10
279 highest weight.
259 day of surgery
192-95
My goal was 165
Was size 3x top and 24/26 bottoms
Now L or Xl tops and 12/14 bottoms

I'm looking forward to the holidays this year. Sleeved 12/17/12

Highest weight 254

Pre-op surgery diet weight 244

Surgery weight 233

Today's weight 138

Went from 2x, size 24 to size medium, size 8

Best decision ever! My nutritionist doesn't want me to lose any more weight. She says I can have 1400-1500 calories per day. I was at 1200. Not sure how I can fit more food in. I still have a lot of restriction.

-----

Wow you got down low -- how tall are you?

I reeeeally don't want to get down too low, 9 days out and I lost 15 pounds already since surgery

Hw ever: 293 (2009)

Hw(2013): 259.6

Pre op: 237

Cw: 222

My goal: 165ish

Surgeon goal: 150s

I'm 5'7" large frame

I'm 5'5". My original goal was 150 but the weight still came off at a 1/2 to 1 lb per week. I've been stable for about a month and this weight feels good.

My doctor said that most lose 60 to 80% of their excess weight. I'm one if the few that has lost it all.

I was a slow but consistent loser. I lost 2 lbs per week for the first 9 months without really stalling. Sometimes it was frustrating to see others losing more quickly. So try to make it your own journey.

I'm a good rule follower and am blessed with a small sleeve. The keys for me are:

Eat 70 to 100 grams of Protein per day

Drink 64 oz

Less than 50 grams of fat

Carbs less than Protein. Almost no bread, potatoes or Pasta. I use sandwhich thins for lunch.

I still use myfitnesspal daily.

Good luck.

My one year post op was this past week, December 19. What a year it's been! I look and feel so much better, and I'm so happy I did this for myself. I still have a way to go, and I'll keep plugging along. My weight loss has really slowed the past 2 months.but a body can only lose so fast. I have diligently tracked my intake and calories every day since surgery. I'm looking forward to another great year, and I plan to finish what I started. Congratulations to all of us - regardless of how much we've lost, we all have the power to succeed!

I attached my graph, and a few before and current pics.

Hi- don't sound so negative. Not everyone loses their weight over night. You are doing great. I have been a slower weight lost person I have lost about 70lbs since 12-17-12 but I don't put myself down. I finished my master program and now I'm starting to work out but I still struggle with the lack that everyone seems to have lost more weight than me but I constantly tell myself I'm 70 lbs lighter than a year ago and I have about 30 more lbs to go so 2014 that will be my focus. Love yourself for all your accomplishments, track your food intake and get walking regardless of where you work. Hand in there and you will get to your goal in a year or two. Best of luck and determination is my inspiration.

Merry Christmas fellow December 2012 sleevers!

This past year has been crazy! Sleeved 12/10/12.

Highest weight 332

Pre-op surgery diet weight 315

Surgery weight 306

Today's weight 230

A total of 102lbs down

Went from 3x, size 26/28 to size l/xl, size 16.

Best decision ever! I have come so far but still have a ways to go. Ultimately my goal is 165, I'm 5'8". I honestly though haven't lost a pound since August. Hubby and I were expecting baby #2 but unfortunately lost it in September but since that positive test I haven't lost a damn pound. I should be happy that I haven't gained however its frustrating to not be losing no matter what I do. I recently saw the NUT again. I was very honest and told her everything that I eat. She thinks I'm getting too much fat in my diet. So I'm tracking and going back January 10 for a f/u.

I'm sure I can get to goal. I just need to figure out what is going on.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Approved today!!! I should be happy I've been approved by my insurance company but family is starting to discourage me. I had a sleeve to bypass last minute change due to Barrett's which caused me enough anxiety. I have researched the new procedure but am not as comfortable as I was originally...I don't need to hear this continual s#*+ about reduction of life expectancy and all the statistical negatives a few days before surgery!!!! Depression creeping in..... ;(

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
