eating less?

Recommended Posts

So I was sleeved Oct 15th and I have been good with eating but recently I have found I haven't been able to eat as much as I could before. I also have been having a hard time eating too fast.... and then I get uncomfortable. Any suggestions would help.... :-)

I am confused... You seem to be wondering WHY you can't eat as much as before? Isnt that the point of the sleeve? Post op, most everyone must eat slowly and chew carefully... Did you not receive any post op instructions from your doctor or NUT?

Eat more slowly. Don't eat much at one time.

I'm sorry no.... not worried about eating less than before surgery. I'm talking about not eating really anything anymore. I've been trying to eat slower but everything gets cold before I can even eat a couple bites.... its just been really hard to try and eat slow.

I've experienced the same problem with the food getting cold. I just simply re-heat it as opposed to having that uncomfortable feeling of eating too fast. This is definitely a learning experience and some things will be trial and era. Good Luck!

Gotcha. Thanks for clearing it up. Yes, I like others have become accustomed to re-heating my food...or eating it room temp. If I eat too fast, I get sick.

So I guess I just need to learn to eat slower.... and reheat!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
