I have medicare and they wont cover it. im self pay and will have surgery on 12/26 :) My hospital told me that medicare WILL pay if you go to a Center of Excellence. Try to find one of those. Hope this helps.

my medicare paid for mine, my doctor had to get approval on my behalf. i dont know what he said or what he did but he did it..

I'm in Ohio and Medicare passed the issue to allow the sleeve in June of this year. I go to a Center of Excellence and was assured that Medicare paid for the sleeve by the doctors person who takes care of the insurance. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and never signed anything that I had to pay. I'm assuming that they paid. Will let you all know if they did not.

By the way I am from Cinti, Ohio and go to Dr Northup, excellent doctor.
