  1. No pre op diet down24 lbs was on a stall for 11 days first loss again yesterday 2 lb and today 2 lbs so glad the scale is moving again... I weight every day..I had the sleeve 2/6
  2. I live in Washington had my surgery in Oregon and Medicare paid 2/6/2013
  3. Do not drink for 10 minutes before you eat... Do not drink till at lease 30 minutes after mushy or real food ... Some doctor's say even longer this is what mine has me doing
  4. CALL YOUR INSURANCE....you don't need to wait call everyday.

  6. Dose anyone here take Vitamin B-12 shots,I got my first one today and wanting ant info I can get I have looked it up but would like to hear from people that are or having or had them, what they do for you do you like them any info you have.Thanks, Debi

I,m 10 days post-op and have lost 11 lbs. thats 1 pound a day I could deal with that.I cant explain like I have seen but heres my way lol our bodies have been to hell and back on the way back trying to do all this it needs energy the body is in starvation mode without enough food so it takes fat uses alot of water so it has to store this water till it gets enough to turn the fat into energy now ready to burn fat as energy ,dose not need extra water to make energy right now so it dumps extra water out of us,and we lose weight due to these things, the scale goes down,now body has use up the energy it made the body gathers water again to turn fat into energy weight up cuz saving up water to makefat into energy hard to think and type on pain pills, but thats why our weight gose up then down lol I thinkI got lost some where,Debi

Hi my name is Debi I'm 55 start weight 250 now 245 I have lost the least(bummer)well I was sleeved 2/6/13 discharged2/7.. no problem with drinking or any thing on full liquid diet, can almost make my goals for protein and water,with calories 300-400I have learned a lot of way to up my protein not enought time in a day..my Doctor counts the shakes as liquid intake (most Dr. do) dont think I could do it if he did not.I still take my pain pills,no gas ,no acid ,no consipation no runs so I think I'm doing good not worried about the weight eating this way it will happen... feel free to ask any question , Debi
  10. I got one at the medical supply store they had a bariatric sticker to put on it along with the other med. things so I had mine engraved with gastric sleeve on it,you dont want someone sticking some thing down your throut trying to get to your tummy better safe than sorry, Debi
  11. My day is about the same other than I mix kool-aid packet into my splenda to add to my yogurt and how GOOD it is I add extra protein powder to my drinks cuz some days I just cant get that much in ...best of luck to all, Debi & Biff (my new Tummy)
  12. I can't belive my surgery day is here... Only 3 hours .. I had my best night sleep last night didn't think I would get any.I'm having the gastric sleeve today at 11:30 any last minute advice ???????
  13. that is so good I got approved 1/25/13 surgery 2/6 tomorrow at 11;30 I think they approved me earley because they knew medicare was going to change I have SecureHorizon/medicare and they wernt covering the sleeve either here in Oregon or Washington then finally they said yes I told my Dr office, they called the doctors line and were told no not covered yet I said send it in anyways and got approved in less than 24 hours

  15. I have told everyone but thats (surgery tomorrow 2/6/13) but thats good advice OTR being on a diet dosent mean you had surgery.... I just want the world to know I care about myself and am doing something about it
  16. Well my day is next this time tomorrow I will be out of surgery (surgery 1/6/13 at 11:30 pm) and starting my new way of life anything you would like to pass on I would love to read last minute help is great thanks,Debi
  17. I finished everything sent paper work to insurance 1/23/13 got approved 1/25/13 now Surgery 2/6/13 at 12:00 pm it can happen fast my very first meeting the end of October 2013 hope your as lucky

  20. 5 days till surgery, I have a lot of small things to finish up,I will be home by myself for the first few days so I really need to be set up any thing I mite of forget about ? ? ? What did you need most ? ?
