Dexilant?
I take 60 mg per day. It works great. No heartburn ever.

Benihanas
I think they charge $3 extra if you share but it would be worth it because you will be full after a couple of normal sized bites. You will probably need to make two normal sized bites into 10 tiny bites but you will be very full and nobody is going to feel slighted for sharing with you. Honestly, you will probably be full from the little shrimp appetizer they give everyone.

Super Sleepy After Meals
Does anyone else need a nap after they eat? I feel more tired than I ever used to after a meal now. I am 8 weeks post op today.

Bariatric Advantage vs. Optisource
I bought the optisource on amazon because they got really good reviews but they are really gross. They are about the size of a nickel and a quarter inch thick. They are all orange flavored and the worst part is you have to take 4/ day. I switched back to flintstones. I don't have time to remember to take vitamins 4 times a day.

HELP! I need a good excuse!
If you're more than a week out of surgery, I say go. If you show your face, you will not have to make any excuses. I went back to work after a week. I could have easily handled a wedding.

Eating With People Who Don't Know About My Sleeve
I went to lunch with a coworker today that doesn't know about my sleeve. I had two bites of crab dip and about 1/8th of the piece of quiche I ordered. He finished all of the crab dip and his whole meal. I tried to pick at my food but I was way too full to keep eating. I said the food was a little too cheesy and my stomach was upset. I didn't really know how to play it off. I'm a month out. I know I will be able to eat more in the future. How do other people handle eating tiny amounts in front of others?

No support from Gynecologist!
I have a good friend that is an obgyn and she was against me having the surgery. She said that I could lose weight with diet and exercise and that I shouldn't have a serious invasive surgery if I could achieve the same result without it. I listened to her and respect her medical advise, but I got the surgery anyway. She has been very supportive since. Do what you want. She doesn't have to live in your body. You do.

How are your insitions
Day 4 or 5 was much better. I didn't have to have help sitting up at that point and I didn't need pain meds.

Question about liquids..
For me the not drinking 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after meals makes it hard to get enough liquids. I feel like I'm always 30 minutes on either side of a meal when I'm thirsty.

Adderall?
Has anyone taken adderall post opp? I used to take it for energy and concentration before surgery and I'm worried that it will suppress my already tiny appetite and I will never eat.

Today i found out that i streched my pouch
I didn't have that done.

Not disclosing details about surgery to employer
I was vague with my male boss. I just said I was having surgery. He asked if everything was ok and I said yes. No further discussion.

Would U Do It With Bmi Of 38?
I had a BMI of 37-38 and I had sleep apnea so my insurance covered it. It was totally worth it. I would never have been satisfied with a tiny portion before surgery. Now I'm full from just a few bites. I'm rarely hungry. I never get cravings. It is the easiest diet I've ever been on. Now if I could only get past this week 3 stall!

All January 5th sleevers !
I was sleeved on the 7th and I have only lost 1/2 pound in the last week. 16 pounds total. It is frustrating.

biggest regret
What kind of backlash came from being open with people? I'm only 3 weeks out. I have told my close friends and family but its a secret at work.
