No alcohol ever?

This is what support group told me tonight led by our NUT. If we as sleevers drink, everything pass our stomach will become necrotic. You mean to tell me that a glass of wine here and there is gng to KILL me? I know a lot of surgeons release their patient to drink in small moderation at like 3-4 months. What gives? What are ur thoughts?

I'm the same as Iggychick, the effect is far far less than before. I have found that Regardless of the subject she comments on you can always rely on her being balanced and intelligent in her common sense remarks. I drink when I feel like it and have no ill effects. As a matter of fact, i hit my goal weight today. I didn't go through all of this to constantly count, worry and stress over everything I put in my mouth. I could have stayed on Weight Watchers for the rest of my life if I had enjoyed that.

I'm going to call bullsh... on the NUT that said that, too. If it were true, we would have a lot of sleevers with these issues, and our docs would not clear us to drink. My dr cleared me 4 months post op,

I also agree with you, Iggy. While I won't die if I never have a glass of merlot, it would be a very sad existence.
