What is ur pre op diet like? Im miserable lol

I was miserable for the first three days! I couldn't see any food on tv without wanting to jump through the tv. Yesterday I slept a lot. Last night I was really hungry, but my emotions about it were in check. I get two Atkins shakes, two medium sized fruits, 2 1/2 oz cups of milk, and two cups of veggies a day. How about you? I'm sure I will have my moments. I'm staying away from grocery stores and any restaurants or parties. Luckily, I'm a stay at home mom so I can pretty much lock myself in my house fr the remaining days of this diet. I drink hot tea when I want to put off having anything.

I dont have a date yet but praying for the end of January but will probably be the beginning of Feb.

Jan 28! As long as my doc gets that letter of necessity in asap.

My doc has me on these protein shakes. This week I have shakes all day and one meal at night thats unlimited mixed greens, one serving of veggies and 6 oz of a lean meat. I can have a cup of coffee with skim milk only. And no dressing on my salad and 64oz of water a day. Next week im on straight shakes no food. I dont know how im going to do next week ugh :( its interesting the pre op diets r different. I guess its the doctors preference.

Yeah, the diets vary! Some people are on liquid diets for two weeks! The day before surgery I'm on a clear liquid diet. A piece of meat would be nice about now! Hehe I've been weighing myself every day to help. I know some days I won't lose any or may go up...but so far I' started at 284.7 down to 276 four days later. If you can have hot tea do it! Just remember what we are working towards! You are beautiful by the way! We can do this! Spend time reading this forum. It has really helped me when I get scared or wanting to eat ten pizzas! Lol

i am in January! 1/17 is my date. i am on the liquid diet now... i am super nervous and i have had REALLY bad heartburn with the liquids. IT SUCKS but i i have confidence it will all be worth it? right? :(

Dr. Miles did my band to sleeve revision on Jan 9th. He is WONDERFUL!! All of the staff at SVE were awesome. You will do great!! If you have any questions about my experience please don't hesitate to ask.

We're buddies- I'm on the 16th too! I have been on preop diet for a week now' date=' it gets easier after day 3 or 4, so hang in there. Congrats on your surgery, I pray all goes well for you[/quote']

I'm on 16th too! 3:00 pm, Reno Nevada. I'm so excited I can't stand it trouble sleeping already!!

You are so right after day 3-4 on pre-op diet it gets much easier, my doc says no veggies though 3 days prior to surgery.

Hope everyone has a smooth surgery and speedy recovery! Almost there......yeah!

Ditto. My surgery is on Wednesday!

Mine is on Tuesday! This is starting to feel real! So excited to get the surgery over with and be sleeved! Good luck to all the January sleevers! We're going to rock this new life! :-)

My surgery is on January 16th. I have already lost 14 pounds on my preop diet and although I KNOW I have a sorta hard road ahead I know it will be well worth it...:)

Yes Wednesday January 23rd, leaving for Mexico on the 22nd. Thinking what to take with me to drink while I'm out there for the two additional days out of the hospital.

WOOT !! Got my insurance approval letter in the mail today. I'm scheduled for January 30th! I'm soooo excited! I have a big ole list of things I want to buy tomorrow. I'd been holding out until approval but two week clear liquid preop begins in a few days and I'm so ready to get going! I did order my tummy supporter and it came today as well. Good luck to everyone!!
