5 Confessions (Join In)
I confess * I can't wait to be the skinny sister * I bought a cheeseburger just to have the meat and chew when it was nowhere near that phase in my plan * I fear that what I have lost so far is all I am going to lose (20#) * I am still addicted to food Network and Cooking Channel * There is a part of me that is terrified to be thin

Time off
I am curious how long most people have been off work for their surgery. I am at a new job and don't have much time I can take Thanks in advance!

New guy here, you've GOT to read this!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am scheduled for 1-16-13 for my sleeve and the last 24 hours have been HORRIBLE. I picked up the phone twice to call and cancel the surgery. Reading your post and the positive posts of others made me really look at why I am doing this. I am so glad I found this thread and I am actually looking forward to my surgery, whatever comes of it because your right...If I don't do it, I won't last long on this earth. Many blessings!

January 2013 Sleevers?
Mine is the 16th too. We had our "food funeral" last night too, Tomorrow my house is getting a makeover so that it is ready when I get home. I have already started packing for the hospital and gathering things for after surgery such as loose clothing and packing away clothes I will not ever wear again. Good Luck and stay in touch!

I love all the support and ideas in here. My surgery isn't until 1-16 but I am starting to get ready!

Anyone from Wisconsin?
My surgery is 1-16 with Dr. K. I start liquids on 1-9. Starting to get my house and stuff ready to minimize temptations when I get home. My husband is being sleeved on 2-6 with Dr K too.

What did you do when you were scared post-surg?
Thanks for posting all the responses. I am going through exactly the same thing. Nerves sometimes are getting the better of me but I think worst case scenario... I either die forkful by forkful or change. Some outcomes are scary but for me it is in God's hands and so far this is where he has lead me.
