6. Hi!! My recovery isn't bad. Yours? I just am anxious to get this body in shape now! Two of my incisions hurt, and besides gas or whatever I'm going through right now it hasn't been bad. I'm on full liquids until Tuesday. I hate the protein shakes, and I'm ready for food! I'm down a total of 29 pounds since I started all of this. What is your diet?
7. By the way, I was sleeved Jan 22nd.
8. Gas x strip? Maybe I'll send my hubby to the store for that. I knew straws were a big no no. It completely went out of my mind when I went to Smoothie King to check out their low carb protein shakes.
9. I don't know if this has anything to do with my current problem, but I forgot and used a straw last night. So my current problem is every sip I take of water or a protein drink is uncomfortable. It seems to hurt a little and my head hurts then too. Now I feel like I have a lump in my throat. Before this I had no problems. Just sore from my surgery. Thoughts?
10. You've been on my mind. Thank you so much for updating us. I hope you heal quickly, and soon you won't be in pain. Hugs to you! Hope
11. You will be on my mind. I hope they work it out soon!!!
12. The head hunger is really difficult. I'm wanting to eat emotionally.
13. I'm a week out after my surgery. I've lost seven pounds. I'm not hungry, but I'm craving real food!! I've had friends bring over food for my family. I imagine myself picking up that piece of chicken and ravishing it! The protein shakes are grossing me out, because it takes me so long to drink them. I'm finding myself wanting food food food! I don't plan on eating horribly, but the deep dish pizza my husband was eating earlier was driving me crazy. I want to make healthy food and eat it, but right now I get cranky when I see any food. Does anyone else have this problem?
14. I have six sites. One of mine is infected. I'm on strong antibiotics! http://hopeysnewbeginning.blogspot.com/2013/01/gas-gas-glorious-gas.html?m=1
15. Thank you for your concern! I'm waiting to hear from the nurse. My other incisions don't look like that. I'm a little scared.
16. I'm finally passing gas, but I'm still in pain. One of my incisions is swollen, and sore. I'm still working on my first shake iof the day. I'm not sure it is even half gone.
17. My surgery was on Tuesday. The gas pain and bloating is the worst! I finally passed gas today. I'm ready for this gas to go away!! I haven't had any issues getting my liquids in. I once sipped to much, and that was painful!
18. I'm home now! My surgery was on Tuesday. I'm in some pain, but I'm doing alright. I sipped too much of my protein shake, and that doesn't feel good! I'm really tired, but I've been doing a lot of walking. I want this air out of my body!!
19. I had my surgery yesterday morning. I'm sore, but doing fine. I've been walking as much as possible. I am so thirsty! I'm waiting to have my leak test.
20. Tomorrow is finally here!!! I have to check in at the hospital by 5:30! I've been hungry all day on this clear liquid diet. I'm looking forward to the time I wont feel so hungry!
21. I've done so well on the diet until today. I'm on my period, and 800 calories is definitely not enough for this hunger. I ended up having a can of chicken noodle soup. It wasn't a cheeseburger, but I'm still wanting to eat. I'm sure it is emotional. I'm so angry that I have until the 22nd, and I'm struggling so hard.
22. My pre op physical is tomorrow!! Six more days until my surgery! I will be sleeved on the 22nd. I've lost 11 pounds on the pre op diet so far. I'm so excited!!!! I love reading the experiences of others. I'm happy for all of us. Hope http://hopeysnewbeginning.blogspot.com/?m=1
23. I am so happy for you, and so excited for all of us!!!! Everyone that has or is having their surgery is such a motivation for me!
