  1. How is it going? Today is the easiest day so far. I don't understand why you can't have veggies.
  2. I was miserable for the first three days! I couldn't see any food on tv without wanting to jump through the tv. Yesterday I slept a lot. Last night I was really hungry, but my emotions about it were in check. I get two Atkins shakes, two medium sized fruits, 2 1/2 oz cups of milk, and two cups of veggies a day. How about you? I'm sure I will have my moments. I'm staying away from grocery stores and any restaurants or parties. Luckily, I'm a stay at home mom so I can pretty much lock myself in my house fr the remaining days of this diet. I drink hot tea when I want to put off having anything.
  3. I'm on day three of my pre op diet. Your messages are keeping me sane. I know I can do this... I'm so hungry!!!! My journey: http://hopeysnewbeginning.blogspot.com/?m=1
  4. I'm avoiding the kitchen, grocery shopping, and any commercials about food!
  5. It was ok until four. Then my body said it was really hungry! I pushed through it, and went to bed without cheating. I try not to do too much sweeteners. I get nasty headaches if I do. I'm just keeping in mind that two tweaks will pass quickly, and it will be worth it!!
  6. Is it a full liquid diet? I have veggies, yogurt, Atkins shakes, and fruit on my list.
  7. I hope your first day went well! I start my diet tomorrow!
  8. I'll be joining the club the next day!
  9. Jan 22!!! I'm super excited too!
  10. I start my diet on Tuesday! Tomorrow is my birthday, and I will make it the last day of unhealthy eating. good luck tomorrow!! We should stay in touch since our surgeries are so close. do you mind sharing your weight? Mine is about 290. I never ever thought I'd make it to that weight.
  11. Hi I've yo yo'd since I was sixteen. The most I've lost is 60 on one diet. I gained it and much more. I don't have a lot of advice. I can tell you that this forum will probably be a lot of help, and support groups in your town. I am feeling scared and excited. Coming back to this forum really helped me. Support and more support!
  12. What a great idea! I have a basket of panties I haven't been able to wear forever. I have jeans hanging up that I'm looking forward to wearing at some point. I have three boys under the age of 8! It should be interesting! Good luck!
  13. My surgery is Jan. 22! I am also guilty of eating whatever I can before jan. 8th. That's probably part of my anxiety. Ugh!
  14. The pre surgery diet starts on jan. 8th, a day after my birthday. I'm starting to feel very anxious! I've wanted this for a year. Maybe I am nervous because of the unknown. Is recovery long? I'm not supposed to lift over ten pounds for a month. Am I going to be down for a month? Does anyone find themselves really missing food? I find myself eating a lot lately knowing that soon I will not be eating certain foods or eating like that anymore. I'm so ready to change my life, and I need these strict guidelines to follow to be successful. I have lots of plans. I just feel so much anxiety.
  15. My birthday is Jan 7th! It will be my last birthday wearing size 22/24!!! Congrats to both of you!
