Wow...you did an amazing job with your surgeon's diet! And it shows through your pictures! Keep up the good work! I needed to hear your story because I'm 4 post op and I cheated today. I feel horrible but I'm determined to get this right and have results like you! Thanks for sharing.

I had a bite of my kid's chow mein tonight. One bite, but... yeah, definitely not perfect over here or I wouldn't be in the position to need weight loss surgery in the first place!:) Congrats to you on your losses - Keep on keepin' on! :P

Good for you! What was your first month like I you remember? I'm 12 days out and all the work without reward is tough some days.... Seems like you're never gonna be normal lol! Any tips for a newbie would be great;)

My first month - I was in a lot of pain the first week. I know that I didn't lose much weight during the first week or so but then it started falling off. As far as being normal - You're never going to be what you used to consider normal but you will find a 'new normal' if that makes sense. I would say it took me about 6 weeks to 2 months to stop feeling weird about everything.

My tips would just be to really hit it hard, follow your doctor's prescribed diet, get in your exercise, DRINK YOUR Water (huge!!!) and you will see amazing results! If you have any more specific questions, don't hesitate to ask!

I'm not! I am so lame! My phone is a regular ol' cell phone. If I ever come into the 20th Century and get a Smart Phone, I'd love to, though!

When did you start excersize? Did you find a difference in mood/ wl when you started puréed or solid food? Thanks;)

I started some walking at like 6 weeks but wasn't super consistent with it. I just joined a gym a couple weeks ago called Crossfit - They are working my tail of and I'm noticing huge losses since joining!

Mood... hmmmm. I think so. I just started feeling more normal when I was able to eat food.

Thanks for your feed back! I'm postop day 13 and its been quite a change! I wouldn't say I have buyers remorse but Xmas season is quite different for me this year lol! Keep in touch;)

Please ignore the mess in my children's room. :)

71 lbs in 3 months? Wow. The nurse who did my EKG on Thursday had a sleeve done 15 months ago and she has "only" lost 85 lbs in all that time. I think her experience is probably closer to "average." I was told that the sleeve usually yields slower results than the bypass. In any case, you do look fantastic and I am sure you feel fantastic, too.

Thank you! up to 75 lbs. down now - I'm 2 lbs. away from the goal my surgeon set for me for 6 months. 18 lbs. from a healthy bmi and 37 lbs. from my ideal weight of 150 (I'm 5'9). I imagine the fact that I am younger (not young but youngER... lol!) at 29 has something to do with it. I'm also working out quite a bit.

Anyway, thanks guys.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
