:girl_hug: Wanted to introduce myself. My name is Katt and I was "banded" on Friday, October 13, 2006. My surgeon was Dr. Leung/Surrey, BC. I am very excited as I have lost 25lbs. thus far! I am on Clear Liquids, and will be for 30 days (hope I can make it!). I thank God that He gave me this tool to help with my weightloss; I feel the band is going to help me achieve what I was not able to do on my own: eat from the Canada food Guide food groups, exercise and eat "small" meals! Success will be mine! I look forward to chatting with y'all and sharing experiences.

Katt.

Hi Katt and welcome. You are doing great so far. I love your attitude, it is so positive and will definitely help you get through the liquid stage. If you have any questions as you start your journey, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi everyone - I'm new to the forum, just found it today! I have finished my 6 months of dr. visits and the charts have been sent to the insurance co. for approval so I am just impatiently awaiting to hear from them. I have heard that my insurance usually ok's it. I hope to have it done before the first of the year. Its very encouraging reading everyones progress and looking at the before and after pictures. I'm so glad I found you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
