Does anyone have insurance through Verizon Employer (Anthem)?

Recommended Posts

I'm with VZ in FL. I think the contracts are different between the states. I didn't have any problems getting approval from Anthem BCBS. My 1st Dr visit was Jan 23rd 2014. I was approved Jan 27th . My surgery date is March 3rd. I'm expecting to be out 3 weeks with pay.

Hi, I have Anthem through Verizon. I am having my sleeve done on 3/14. My initial consultation was January 23rd. I just got my approval from my insurance yesterday. The strangest thing is that I thought I wouldn't get approved. I have a low bmi (36) and mild sleep apnea, chronic heartburn, and shortness of breath at times. I got my approval before I even finished all of my tests for clearance. I'm kind of in shock now ! I even called my insurance company to make sure I was approved.

Requirements vary from plan to plan. You can have a bcbs plan in any state that approves WLS, however if your employer doesn't want it covered they can make exclusions.

Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). I actually had surgery 3/6/14. I was approved in less than two weeks first time. I am out on leave now recovering and have lost about 45pds. I am so excited!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
