I have been stalking this site for some time but this is the first that I have ever posted. I am set for my sleeve surgery at Vanderbilt on 12/18/2012 and honestly, I wish it was tomorrow I am not apprehensive about it at all and want it to be here. I am so amazed at how smooth the whole thing has gone at Vanderbilt (Vanderbilt Center for Surgical Weight Loss) and even faster over 7 months of messing with this, I am still stoked!

I am so much looking forward to feeling better, looking better, not sleeping with that blasted cpap thing on my nose..being able to keep my pants up, walking better, which is hard enough after a partial foot amputation and huge Frankenstein ortho boots, and well, everything.

I try to read the experiences of all the other folks and try to take into account that everyone is different and has different feelings about what is going on with the whole deal, but I am one of those that realizes that this is what has to happen, do it, and go away happy...no regrets, freedom. I can't wait!

I too look forward to losing the c-pap mask and hopefully the diabetes. May or June can't come fast enough! Good luck to you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
