Garnier Fall Fight Shampoo and conditioner. It contains Biotin... Have heard great reviews in regards to helping with Hair loss

It works great. I have thin hair to start with, before surgery my hair started breaking. I started using this shampoo and conditioner. I have not had any breakage. I am 10 1/2 weeks post op I hope it continues to work.

My doctor's Nurse says, "there are no bald wls patients. hair loss stops when your loss seems to slow down."

I have Biotin but haven't opened it. The last time I took Biotin I broke out in bumps. ALL OVER MY BODY. I'm scared. I'm trying not to take it.

I had a lengthy discussion with my nutritionist at my appointment yesterday. (Hair loss) she said that Iron and zinc are the Vitamins to take as a supplement to Multivitamin and Protein to keep from hair loss/hair health. I've added both into my regimen. She advised the multi Vitamin is not enough and stressed that I should take a daily schedule...mine looks like this

Morning: flinstone chewable' date=' b-12 sublingual, Iron chewable, and my Acid prevention.

4 hrs later: 2 Calcium, Vitamin D 5000 drops (once per week)

4 hrs later: 2 calcium

Night: flinstone chewable, b-complex Vitamin

She has advised that the Flinstones contain the right amt of zinc in one chewable but other nutrients require 2 per day...

I hope that this helps! I have been adamant in talking with her about my nutrients and hair because I also am very afraid of hair loss...[/quote']

Girl, my vitamin/mineral regiment has been basically identical to what yours is and I am still losing like no other :( everyone I've talked to says the same, they took their vites like clockwork and still lost a ton. I think it's just inevitable. Good news though is it grows back! Lol so a couple years from now we'll all have our great hair back AND be skinny! :) score! Lol :)

EEEEEEKKKKK I sure as heck hope this is not so! Either way, like everyone says, I've never seen a bald weight loss patient, and it grows back.

I still have no regrowth and I am

18 months out. I might cut it because it just looks silly long since you can see right through it.

Wow. Its just hair get a grip. Guess going thru 8 yrs of chemo has given me such a different outlook. Its a temporary thing theres so much more to you than your hair. As well as so much more to be thankful for like your improved health now that we are losing those pounds

Congratulations on making it through chemo. I understand you may feel this way, but to many women Hair loss is very frightening, and for many WLS patients, it is the first time we have lost ours.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
