Wow! That is awful! I am 2 months post op today (October 3rd) and have never experienced any nausea but I am sure it is unpleasant. Have you addressed it with your surgeon? Did they give you any recommendations or shed any light on what might be causing it?

I would encourage you to try some decaffienated chamomile and/or ginger tea and see if that helps settle your new sleeve a bit. Also, were you prescribed Carafate? If not, you should ask for a prescription for that and a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) like Prilosec.

So wish I had better advice but I am sure it will get better.

Hang in there and keep us posted. Here's wishing you well!

I'm one month post op and had to have a long hospital stay because of nausea. Is yours worse in the morning? My doc said to take Zyrtec or the like before bed to help with mucus draining into my small empty tummy. So far that's helped me some!

Also was told to start the day with a warm liquid before anything else to open everything up.

Hmmm, that's interesting about the Zyrtec. I might have to try that. My nausea is horrible in the morning and gets a bit better throughout the day.

I'm going to try drinking hot tea in the morning too. Thanks for the tips.

I have this problem also. I am 4 mos post op and have ALL DAY extreme nausea. BUT I am also 3 mos pregnant. So it could be pregnancy sickness or it could be sleeve. OR even both. I take zofran every 6 hrs but it doesn't help :'(

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
