Me too! I'm scheduled for Valentine's Day! I thought it was the perfect day for me to fall in love with myself all over again!

I start my Clear liquids pre-op diet on Feb 1st. So not looking forward to it but if it means that my insurance is paying...hey, I'm in!

I'm in Phoenix and having surgery with Dr. Fang. Awesome name, right? I will be at Bridges Weight Loss Center. Doesn't seem to be many people to connect with there (on here).

My best friend had this surgery in August 2010 and has been mega successful. I know I will be too! I'm SOOOOO excited!

I'm not sure of my goal weight. I don't even care. I just want to feel good!

I'm very tech impatient so I haven't figured out the ticker yet. The site seems very slow while I'm here at work. Oh, and I teach high school!

Good luck to everyone.

anyone else gain weight since beginning all of this? I started the process in July and have gained weight.

I gained weight after the supervised diet ended. There was a 4month wait for the surgery and since then, the closer I got the more i ate. They didn't give me a hard time about it at the dr's office.

Hi! I'm on 2/12. I had the same thought about being so close to Valentine's Day. :-) I'm in Texas. I was instructed to start the pre-op diet 2/5, but I'm actually starting Monday. I'm out of control and I feel terrible and I would like to lose a few pounds before surgery. I'm so ready to just get on with it! I was banded 5 years ago so I'll be having my band removed and converted to sleeve. I hope all in one procedure. My surgeon seems to think it won't be an issue. I'll be so disappoined if not. Good luck to you!

Shopped for my pre-op diet and got some of the stuff I'll need post-op. Someone told me about Peanut Butter powder and I got some to add to my Protein Drinks. It's really pretty good. It's a lot lower in calories and fat than regular or even reduced fat PB. I can't wait to try it in a shake. I also got a bottle off liquid vitamins/minerals. I was scared, but it really doesn't taste too bad. It's bright green tho. LOL! Oh well, as long as I can get it down, that's all that matters. I start my pre-op diet Monday. I remember what it was like from before I was banded. Not looking forward to it, but am trying to keep in mind that it will help me get to where I want to be. Having my hubby make his famous grilled burgers tonight. The last one for a long time. I'm not sad about that though, I'm just ready to feel better and find myself again.

I'm checked into the hotel near the hospital and just had my last protein shake of the day. My mom has kindly gone down to the restaurant alone so as not to make me die from watching her eat dinner. Checking in at the hospital tomorrow at 10:50am. So ready!

Six months pots-op as of yesterday. I celebrated with a HIIT class where I was challenged to do a wall-assisted handstand. I truly thought there's no way in hell that I can get up there. Well... I proved myself wrong. The instructor said, "Just try getting one foot up there." I tried and it was so easy, that the other foot went up, and the next thing that I knew, I was standing on my hands with my legs up in the air, leaning against the wall.
Last weekend I challenged myself to a 10-mile hike, and I was SURE that my legs would be non-functional that night and the next day. But that didn't happen at all.  But I did learn that I need a new hiking boot or shoe. I've got a goal of walking the Portuguese coastal route of the El Camino later this year, and I good shoes will be essential.
I've hit another weight loss stall, but that's to be expected. I am so close to my goal already that if it does take 6 more months to get that last stone off, that's okay with me. And I am building muscle, so that stone may never move. S'alright friends, s'alright.
