My work requires that I give them a 30 day notice or they can deny the request UNLESS it is an emergency. So it was just a matter of my work agreeing to everything. My job requires uniforms and they are $100 for each (pants and shirt) so I had my Dr put a request in saying that I could wear pants that are comfortable (:

Is that ehat you meant?

Mine job makes us use our sick time. After that is exhausted they start munching at our vacation time :( and we have no say over that

I would call your hr and ask what their policy is. My employer is super picky.

I got my date today, February 12. Happy Valentine's Day to me!! Now scrambling around trying to get everything set up and ready as it's not that far away! That's okay though, I'm just glad to know what, when, and where. I'm being revised from leaking band to sleeve. Just so ready to get this done and get back to my life. Hoping and praying that I can get everything squared away at work and that I can get everything covered.

Good luck to everyone! I look forward to hearing about all of your experiences! It's right around the corner for us all! Yay!!!

just a word on fmla. You have to have worked essentially full time for a year to be eligible for fmla. You do not get paid when taking fmla but it does keep the company you work for, from firing you. You, typically, have to give at least 30 days notice if it's not an emergency. Which means you have to give it to your doctor's office to complete before giving it to your employer. You usually have to use all your allotted time off before you can start fmla. I know of some disability insurances that will kick in after a few days so you don't have to use up your pto/sick/vacation days. I think you can take up to 3 months off per year.(if medically necessary obviously), this doesn't mean you have to take it all at once.

I know this isn't everything about fmla, if you know anymore please share!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
