Aetna Req On 2Yr Weight History

Recommended Posts

So my insurance navigator request 2yr weight history for my approval. I got 2010 and 2011 weight history but she says the BMI for both yrs has to be over 40. My BMI for 2010 is 39.85 and 41 for 2011. I'm concern Artna my denied me because of 2010. Should I talk to my PCP or to leave it as is? I don't want to be denied because of a decimal short. My PCP did write a notice saying my BZmI should be consider 40 given for the past 10 yrs I been struggling with obesity. Do you think this helps? Any advice or comments will help.

Don't worry. Aetna needs 2 years weight history, which is just the documentation regarding your weight they are not looking at the BMI, for each year they will consider the BMI as of current date. your PCP only needs to show 6 consecutive months of diet history or you can do 3 month with a nutritionalist then your psych ev..al

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
