Why No Alabama Sleevers? We Are The 2Nd Most Obese State In The Country.

Oh and my op date was Oct 8th. Would love to see what you all are eating and how you are doing. Personally I seem to be a slow looser. 6 weeks and only 25#.

I was sleeved 12/19/12 down almost 50...few pounds to go. I too have lost a few sizes and feel so much better!!

He's a great Dr. I go back on April 15th to see the Dr. It'll be my almost 4 month appt. I go tomorrow to see Nut, the Psyc, and trainer. I really thought it would come off faster but I'm unable to go to the gym or walk due to knee and elbow injury. I've been at a stall for a week now UGH!! I've just got a long way to go.

I'm from Lanett, Alabama! Getting sleeved on March 18th in Lagrange, GA at West GA Medical Center! Sooooooooo excited! :D

I thought mine would go faster too. I'm kind of relieved bc it's not obvious. At the same time I start wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Slow is better than not at all I guess.

I've finally hit my first milestone I set for myself. I am now under 300lbs. By 2 lbs. and have lost 60lbs and 20 inches over all. Feeling pretty good. And I am joining a gym this week. Wow how my life is changing.

I am from Northwest Alabama and was sleeved 3/25/13. So far, so good. I am thrilled about starting my new life.

Surgery scheduled for next Monday, April 8, 2013, with Dr. Turton in LaGrange, Georgia. Day 3 of liquid diet....getting in the bare requirements for protein but don't feel like I am drinking water like I normally do. Also, can't seem to get warm?!?

I'm in Alabama and my surgery is scheduled for May 14th! I'm in Montgomery but having my surgery in Birmingham. Super excited!

Hi.... I'm from Auburn. I haven't been sleeved yet, but have been working on some of the insurance requirements.

@ Rena's Ragdolls.. Do you already have a surgeon?

Hi!! I am pre op. I am waiting on insurance approval and a date:-/ I can't wait to get this journey started!

@bamagirl57... I am a newbie but I can tell you that it is wonderful! Good luck!

Yes, same as you, Dr. Turton. I went to one of his seminars last year, but it wasn't a good time for me to consider it. This year, I contacted his office instead of going through another seminar. I've had my initial appointment with him and have completed the psych exam and a sleep apnea exam (moderate to severe apnea). My nutritional class starts this Thursday. I haven't yet talked to my PCP about it, and am hoping that she agrees.
