  2. I have had a pretty Uneventful time with my sleeve too. I can eat about 4 oz. of yogurt with no problems. I like it that my body tells me "whoa that's enough!!" I never had that before. I was sleeved 5/30 and have only had a problem with an incision area. I don't really have hunger... But I know when I need to eat something. No nausea or vomiting either! So far, so good!!!

  4. I had My sleeve May 30. I was very nervous before and up to the surgery. The first day was rough. Do not be afraid to ask for pain meds or nausea meds. I got a little nauseous once. That was it. You will do fine. I had very little pain too. Stay positive!! Best wishes.

  9. For the first five days were you on clear liquids only?
  10. What did your diet look like for the first six weeks after surgery?
  11. I had my sleeve on the 30th. I have not felt any different than before. I had the two week liquid diet before. Now I have 3 more days of clear liquids. I keep looking forward. I have not even let it cross my mind as some kind mistake. Our mind can be our worst enemy. I keep looking forward. Yes I do have cravings... Not hunger! I would kill for a ribeye! I will have that ribeye. But it will be around week 7. I don't care if I have to purée it!! Too many people look at this as a mistake. What is done is done! We have to stay positive and keep that sabotaging mind of ours at bay!!! We got this!! We can do it!! And be a whole lot healthier in the process!!!
  12. I had my surgery yesterday. Not too bad. Just pretty tired. Not much pain at all so far. Dr miles and Schmidt are the best. Their staff was so nice and caring. I highly recommend them!!

  15. The 30th is coming, the 30th is coming!!! Omgoodness, getting a little nervous!!
  16. Me too!!!! Thursday is the big day!!! Good luck!!
  17. Very well said! I too have just begun telling people outside my family that I am having the surgery. I have had zero negative responses. My hairdresser who is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly built "said good for you, I know you have you tried everything to lose weight, this will work!" This really made my day! I have been pleasantly surprised by all of the positive feedback and comments from friends and family. Of course they are worried, but staying obese is far worse when there are ways to get the weight off. My advice to everyone is beware of negative people. Keep them out of your mind! There is only room for positive thoughts there!!
  18. I have been using my Cpap for over a month. The nose piece irritates me a little. When I wake up at night, I am wide awake. I wake up every morning at 5 am ready to run a marathon. I cannot believe how awesome I feel since I have started using the Cpap. I will take the little inconveniences any day for the way I feel now!!! I highly recommend it if you wake up tired or feel tired most of the day!

  21. Hi, fairly new to vst. I have been researching and planning this for about 2 years. I told my husband first. He is very supportive. I didn't want to tell my mom or anyone else. Mostly shame because I have never in 20 years been able to lose the weight myself. I have told a few others. I am telling more And more. I am at the point of "don't care!" I probably know thirty people who have had wls locally. This is for our health. Either tell or don't! It is your call. I am almost positive a lady I work with had some type of Wls. I asked her. She said no. I wanted to know so that I would have someone to talk to who had gone through it. So if you don't tell, you may miss an opportunity to help someone else through this difficult adjustment period.
