  1. i too have not had any issues with food. I feel the same way as another person that said they almost wish they would have an issue. I get scared that i don't have any problems and this may lead me back down the bad path lol. i just mainly stick to the chicken and turkey. i've been cleared for lean red meat but have found that i don't have a taste for it anymore and don't find it good like i used to. As far as salads and such, i LOVE them and am happy they still love me lol
  2. I've heard stories, some of them horror stories, about the hair falling out but can't find anything about extra oiliness.
  3. I'm 6 months post-op. I was wondering if anyone has had an issue with oily hair post-op? I used to be able to wash my hair every other day but now my hair gets so oily the next day after washing it. Anyone else?
  4. Thanks! looks like we all are doing wonderful!!!
  5. thank you! I hope you get there soon!!! it was just a wonderful feeling when he told me to stop...lol
  6. So I went to the doctor yesterday and he took me off my diabetic meds and one of my blood pressure meds! I'm so excited!
  7. i made the cauliflower crust pizza...it was pretty decent...didn't taste like cauliflower to me and i hate cauliflower. i'll be adding more spices to the crust next time just to give it a lil more flavor. i used turkey pepperoni and it was wonderous!!!
  8. i made a cauliflower crust using finely chopped cooked cauliflower, egg, low fat mozzarella cheese, and some oregeno...bake it in a oven for 450 degrees for about 12-15 min...i don't like cauliflower at all and i couldn't tell that this was made from it. i used turkey pepperoni and it was wonderous...i will be adding some more spices next time since it didn't blow me over but it's a pizza crust that is low carb and it let me have pizza which i LOVE!!! LOL
  9. 2 days post op and my only trouble is taking my crushed meds...yuk! pain level is great...just mainly soreness...like the way your stomach feels after a day of dry heaving...tolerable but annoying ya know? i'm loving this new life already!!!
  10. Surgery is in 9 hours! I can't wait! Giid luck to all of the May 14th sleevers out there!

  12. I'm the 14th also...it seems so close but so far at the same time lol
  13. i'm not having the hunger pains (i don't think) but i'm having severe nausea...my stomach has growled at times and then i have a shake and it tames it down (or ticks it off lol)...my pre op is 3-5 shakes a day and water...normally i would eat a cracker to help with the nausea but that's a no go for this. just trying to muster through it...5 days left!
  14. I'm on day 7! Lish, I've survived this far!...the nausea is still present... was hoping it would have gone away by now...other than that I'm making this pre-op diet look good! Lol
  15. I AM IN KETOSIS!!! i've been so worried it wouldn't happen because of these blood sugar problems. my sugars finally came down some but go from 109 to 130s to the 170s. Doctor's contact just told me not to use milk with my shakes just water. it has helped some but they have jumped a bit from time to time...it has stressed me out so bad since they said it could cause me not to be able to have the surgery. Now that I am in ketosis that stress level has dropped.
  16. I guess I'm going to call the doctor today...I don't want this to interfere with my surgery...I just took it again and it is 252...I just don't know what is going on

  20. I am diabetic and I'm on my pre-op diet that consists of 3-5 protein shakes only per day. My blood sugars are running between 150-200. Has anyone else had this problem?
