  1. Oh and my op date was Oct 8th. Would love to see what you all are eating and how you are doing. Personally I seem to be a slow looser. 6 weeks and only 25#.

    2# A Week?

Starting weight 280. Lost 15# the first 2 weeks then NOTHING for the next 2 weeks. Now in 5th week and only lost 2#. IF and that's a big IF I can continue averaging 2# a week is that a good amount?

    2# A Week?

So its been a while. Learned A LOT and still learning. Five and a half months down 59#. Several stalls, vomiting, low potassium etc. But at least on the right road.
  4. Crap. Wendy8802 on mfp. Sorry
  5. Sleeves oct 8th. I dont count pre op so only down 29# since surgery. Feel like its very slow. Add me to mfp if yall are on there and tell me your sleeve date. I like the motivation and food ideas.
  6. Doing absolutely everything I have been told to do and failing. Sleeved oct 8th so six weeks ago at 280. Down to 256 but 17 of the 24 was the first 2 weeks. Getting 60-80 g protein 50-60 water. Calories 600-700 carbs under 20. Walking daily. I give up. If I cant loose doing everything they said to do why even try anymore?

    Alabama Here

Huntsville hospital Dr. Mailapur. My healing is great. No complications. My eating is still limited because meats and eggs make me throw up. I think that will get better I just need to wait a while and try them again. As of this morning down 27# which I feel is pretty slow but I feel confident that I'm doing things right (except I could exercise more). So trying to be patient. I get about 60-80 grams of Protein and 3 cups Water. Need more water. Around 700 calories. What about you?

    Help! This Is Not Working.

Thank you so much for your help. Sounds like some good things to try. It seems like I have hit a "set point" and really struggling to get it right. I'll try these things.

    Help! This Is Not Working.

GNC total lean 2 grams sugar 170 cal. Bluebonnet Whey Protein Isolate 0 grams sugar and 116 calories. These are all I drink. Is that too much calories?
  13. I feel like all the protein is making me gain weight or at the very least stall. I had problems with this pre op also while doing a trial run of protein shakes I gained 12#. Anyone know why?

    Help! This Is Not Working.

Ok thanks yall. I'm gonna find some faith in this process. Just to answer a few comments, no I have not measured and 24# in 6 weeks not less than a month. But thank you all it helps knowing I'm not the only one who has felt hopeless.

    Help! This Is Not Working.

Honestly. I am not trying to whine or feel sorry for myself. Rather, I tend to think through things. So I'm trying to make sense of it. At some point someone scientifically developed this plan so if the plan is not working there should be a better plan.
  17. Hi Mrs M. Well we are not too far apart. Most days I can still only tolerate soups and protein shakes. Good luck and good to meet you.

    Early Stall

Yes but when you say "stall often" how long is that? I am almost 6 weeks post op and except for the first 2 weeks I have stalled every 3 or 4 days. The scale will be lower one or two days in a row then the same for about 4 days. Frustrating.
  19. My experience is that if you run a calorie deficit the weight will go down even if you are in starvation mode. Look at the people on Survivor.
  20. I would be interested in that link if its not too much trouble.
  21. Running out of patience. I know I am only 5 weeks post op but I've only lost 21#. Realistically I know better, but subconsciously I expected to 1- have surgery 2- spend a couple of weeks recovering 3- get on the scale and be down 100#. Guess what? That didn't happen.
