Hello everyone. I am tee. I originally was on yhe lapbandtalk forum but in recent weeks have decided to switch over to the sleeve. Hope to gain as much info here as possible.

A little info...

I have aetna

Am currently in my third month (90th day). My last appt before submission to insurance is Nov. 21st!!!!! Yes excited but nervous..... havent lost much weight as I have some Water retention issues:-(

26 y/o, Richmond, VA

Hoping to have surgery done before december!

Motivations are fertility increase, health increase, energy increase, predisposed illness decrease.

I am newly married and would like to have a little one to complete the love :-)

Any info you all can provide is super appreciated. I am a bit nervous about having my stomach cuy out but also know now i wont tolerate the band mentally due to the amount of complications and constant mental awareness... also with the economy the way it is, i have to think of the worse. If i lose my job while I have the band that could affect my care in the future (until I find another)...

Most of the time I type from my phone so this is my long term apology up front... " I apologize for the typos"!:-)

Thank you

The VSG is the way to go. Keep in mind you will still have follow up with doctors with this surgery to stay on the right track (mainly lab work). The pain should not be worse than the Lapband just will last a couple extra days. My stomach didn't really hurt just the area of my drain and many people don't even have to have a drain installed.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
