I Was Sleeved In May And Just Found Out I Am Pregnant

Recommended Posts

It is the one she posted at ~5am right after she said "BTW... "

Yes this is the OP stating how far along she really was as opposed to her original speculation not her admitting that she had two separate pregnancies.

She miscarried between the time she posted yesterday at 6pm and 5am this morning?

I didn't read it that way... I guess because of my experiences with close friends that have miscarried a couple of months into their pregnancy it seemed so very quick to go through all of that (get admitted in the hospital and be back home released, rested and up arguing on the computer) that I didn't consider that as an option. But everyone is different and bounce back at different rates. That is a really sad situation :(

Aside from the updated post that she miscarried her last post was November 12. That is 10 days.

Oye Bio! Go to her page and view "all post by this user." They are all timed/date stamped and it shows her last activity on the 12 - barring the update today. Legitimately I'm tired of this. Again, I'm very sorry for the OP's situation. I really hope she has a speedy recovery both physically and emotionally.

Agreed. She (OP) wanted advice regarding the pregnancy so soon after surgery. Now she is not pregnant, end of story. This is not the place to impose your morals/beliefs, it is meant to share our journey in hopes it may help a fellow sleeved on his or her own journey.I'm sure there are other outlets geared to discussion of morality and beliefs regarding abortion; perhaps that would be a more appropriate place for those discussions.

On a side note, I felt that the "natural miscarriage" referred to the thought that since she was so early post op and had so much nausea and vomiting that there would be no way her body could sustain the pregnancy, not as something she did intentionally to terminate the pregnancy.

Why don't we all leave this be and concentrate on all that we have to be thankful for.

Are you saying going on IV ...I don't understand.

I already has terrible acid reflux that have gotten under control. I am soooo sick. I don't think I would be healthy at all.

I was exactly one year out when I got pregnant & it was hard I lost 50lbs my first trimester but gained 35lbs by my 9the month, my acid reflux was horrible before pregnancy & got worse with pregnancy prilosec became my best friend 10 to 12 times a day, my baby was born healthy all except for low blood sugar due to the fact I was hyperglycemic & didn't know it my whole pregnancy which happens to be a common thing after vsg. If I can answer any questions for you please feel free to ask. Good luck to you.

To be honest...I am just reading this...and my mother should not have had me. I am glad to be alive, but my childhood was a hot mess and fortunately my DNA has survivor instincts. I might be pregnant right now. I am not sure I am ready to be a mom. I am 50/50 with it. Days I want a baby...days I don't. Not sure if that is a great way to bring a child into this world, but it was unexpected so I am not really sure what I feel...but abortion saves lives. I think it is wrong to bring a child into this world when you can not take care of a child. I think that outweighs the decision to abort. I was dead for 19 years of my life and it took about 8 to bring me back to life. If you are not ready to have a baby...then don't have it. Adoption, abortion, whatever you decide to do it is your right.

...but abortion saves lives.

That's the most rediculous statement I have every seen. What kind of warped sense of morality do you have? There are thousands of couples that cry and pray together every day because they can't have children and are waiting to adopt and love a child.

I am sorry I guess I don't understand... Are you say you would rather your mom aborted you so you would never had a chance to live? I hope you find healing with your past... Thankfully as we grow we can find our way out of those situations a create our own happiness :)

I agree with this user. I don't think abortion is the answer. I think adoption is a great choice for women who find themselves unable to take care of a baby.

My personal experience, I was adopted at birth because my biological parents were 15-16 years old when I was conceived and I love them for making that decision even though my maternal grandmother tried to talk my mother into aborting me.

Thanks to their gift, I grew up with two wonderful parents who loved me unconditionally and didn't even tell me I was adopted until I was 20 years old and only because my birth mother had asked if she could meet me. As an adult I have a good friendship with both of my biological parents and hold no ill will.

It is a very selfless act for a 16 year old girl to carry a baby she isn't keeping to term when other girls that age make fun of her. When I look at my daughters I am even more thankful she spared my life because I don't think the world would be such a wonderful place without these two souls.

My close friends have tried for 10 years to have a child and because of how expensive it is to adopt they haven't been able to afford it since he is a Marine and she is a school teacher in Virginia. They would love to adopt any unwanted children so please send me a message if you consider giving your child up for adoption rather than abortion.

The number of varied posts and the original post with UNCLEAR history and dates highlight why this is NOT the proper forum for this serious discussion... This is a weight loss site. . This really is a pro choice/ pro life discussion. Talk to your doctors, counseling centers, close friends... Did you really expect different responses from members, essentially strangers of unknown religions and values of this site ?

I assume You posted as a grown woman. You have to be able to Take the responses as a grown woman. Take care of yourself.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
