Since surgery, actually 14 days out I suffered fr acid reflux. Arrrgghhh doctor said take this or that, just like many here. I said no thanks.
So, I went to my accupuncturist, Dr. Ling, and no more reflux, no burning throat, no gagging !
I am a believer. Plus same Dr. did acupuncture on my knees in July 2009 I was walking with a cane at 40. No cane since August 2009.

I only told people close to me everyone else I told I had my gallbladder removed.(which I did) I really feel like its my business only. I know some people MAY support you but I perfer them to support the weight loss not the reason. I am currently 12 days after and fighting to eat soft food trying to get enough protein and water. I really don't have time to listen to potenial Nay sayers....Nope sure dont

Please believe me....it gets better . I thought i would never say that but now i can say ....it really does.. I even had a set back that put me back in the hospital for 2weeks. I even began regreting my choice. It takes time for your body to reset... Some get there quickly others (Like us) take a while. But you will get there.

You are a lot like me. But apart of the reason we gain weight is due to NOT EATING. You will hear it sd over and over this WLS not brain surgey. Eating is very important

I am with Emory in Atlanta too. If you are working with Tracey trust what she says. My insurance company req was 3month diet also. It feels like a long time but its worth the wait. There is so much to learn about this new life.

Hey guys i lost a pound yay...

I also was sleeved May 29. I also lost 23 lbs in two weeks and now have lost nothing all week. I'm right with you! It's very frustrating but the truth is our body needs time. I can see loss in my face and neck and that's all. I hide my weight very well, but as long as I can see some progress I'm happy.
