  13. Okay here goes.... Like I said sleeved June 19th by Dr. Barker. I have lost 81 pounds since surgey plus another 7lbs on my pre-op for total of 88 lbs gone. Before I would fluctuate between 245- 247. I had a goal of 170 but my body apparently has something else in mind. I was 156 on the scale this morning! God is good. Girl it only gets better from here. Good luck. I know you will do great.
  14. Yeah go to girl can be a blessing and curse. And excuse me ma'am what is up with this screen name?Too late you are already sexy!
  15. Girl you will do great! Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I don't want to come across as the victim. I just don't want to have to pretend I'm not happy that my size 10 jeans are a lil baggy! I want to brag just a lil
  16. Thank you so much ! I hate to come across this way but I had to get it off my chest.I know they love me but Uggh. Lol
  17. I just want to be selfish for a minute and vent. I am 4 mths out and have reached my goal weight of 165. And guess what........nobody cares ! Not my friend that had a sleeve done a year ago yep that same one I supported from day one. Which included picking her up at 330am the day of her surgery. Most certainly not my pregnant Aunt who has had 2 children since her gastric bypass and is pregnant again. Yep the same Aunt I drove from Dallas to Houston to be with when she had surgery despite being 7 mths pregnant at the time. Then come two of my other friends who I love dearly . One I can always count on but she is struggling with her weight and trying to do it the "natural" way as she says so I keep my milestones to myself. The other has been hospitalized on and off the entire month since having the Duodenal switch done. I get it life goes on for them but guess what the same applies to me and I still manage to go above and beyond for my friends. It kind of hurts to get more compliments from my coworkers and patients in my office then those closest to me.
  18. Congrats to all my fellow June sleevers! I was sleeved June 19th started @ 238 lbs. I have lost 60 lbs and have 10 or 15 more to go depending on how my body adjusts over the next few weeks.
  19. Weeew! I feel so much better now knowing that I am not the only one. It does seem to be slowly improving. Everyone is so supportive on this forum. I can't wait until I'm further along and can possibly help someone else out.
  20. Thanks everyone. I hope it passes pretty quickly. I don't feel pain just the need to release some air. I also had to have a hernia repaired I wonder does that make a difference. I talked to my nurse and Dr. they assured me that it will improve just wanted a view from other sleevers. I feel like I'm learning my body all over again.
  21. Yes, my doctor actually is who told me to try it. I had issues the first few days with gulping and the straw helps me avoid that. And I wish it was that simple I started the burping immediately. I even do it eating a popsicle lol
  22. I was just sleeved a little over a week ago. I'm doing great with getting my liquids in. A straw is my lifesaver for me. I'm already down 23lbs including 7 lost one week pre op. WHOOP! Not bad for a so called light weight. Now here is the problem I have to burp after every sip. I know there will be gas but my god in between every sip????Please tell me I'm not alone. How long does this last. I'm on 40 mg acid reducer.
