Hiring A Trainer

Recommended Posts

I belong to Lifetime Fitness and plan to get back into swimming in 2 more weeks. Still need my gall bladder incisions to heal. Can anyone who has a trainer give me a price estimate? I'm trying to decide if its worth it or just stick to swimming. Thanks!

I just joined my first gym & hired my first trainer. Prices in the DFW area range from $25-70 an hour. Mine is $25 an hour since I bought a package of 8 sessions.

Since I am a gym 'virgin', I had no idea how to work the weigh resistance machines. Plus I wanted an older women as my trainer & Gail is 50. My first session was tonight & I am soooo glad I did it & got her!

I signed a contract for twice a week for 6 months and it cost $60 per week plus tax.

I'm a member of Lifetime Fitness too, and last month I joined T.E.A.M Weightloss. It has been great! It's a small group of people working with a personal trainer 3 days a week, plus you meet with a dietician. In my group there are usually 4-6 people in the class.

http://lifetimefitne...m/docs/DOC-1341 - The just had a special so it was 2 months with 1 month free, since it's 12 week sessions. I paid $350 for the 3 months.

I am a person who needs that accoutability. Working out at home doesn't do it for me - I quit too easily. But if I have classes to go to, or a trainer who's expecting me, or a friend to go with regularly - then I go. So going to Lifetime is a must for me to get off my butt and workout!

Wow! Thanks everyone for your answers! Very helpful. I'll start with looking into the TEAM program at LF and go from there. You guys rock!

I pay $65 per hour for my trainer, but i know that there are other options. $50-70 seems to be the price range in the Austin area. However, you can do small group classes with a trainer for much less. I think it is great that you are going to see a trainer, it's a great way to start a lifelong exercise plan!

At the gym I am going to they showed me an article that people that joined a gym and hired a trainer were still members at 2 years out while those that did not left after 3-4 months. I believe it!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
