I'm a baby boomer and guess you could say I still have a bit of the hippy chick in me.

Grew up watching Ed Sullivan, Soul Train, American Bandstand, Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.

Music ran from Motown to all the Beatles years, David Bowie, The Police, Van Morrison, Joanie Mitchell....to current day from Sade to Adele.

The styles of the day ran from crop tops and bell bottoms to maxi dresses and floppy hats, go go boots, ratted hair sprayed hair and heavy eyeliner to the most torn up jeans you could find, long straight hair and peace signs.

I loved the times....and still have my signature style, but these days I don't have to wear a tunic to every event, I'm starting to get my sexy back on!

Peace & Love!

Another baby boomer, 1948.

Grew up in the Bay Area, Mickey Mouse Club, Bonanza, Ed Sullivan.

Music was definitely the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jefferson Airplane and all the San Francisco sound. Lived in the Haight and Big Sur, then settled down, still in the Bay Area.

Happily retired at 55 when my husband and I took off for 5 years in a motor home. Loved New Mexico, Utah, the whole southwest.

Now back in the Bay Area, readying the house for sale and readying my body for the remainder of my great life with surgery scheduled for November 21.

Looking forward to going on the road again as a healthier person, able to do so many things I couldn't last time.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Kate

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
