Thanx for the encouraging words ladies. I know I can do this, we can do this!

I only had to do a week of the pre-op liquid diet. I am down 4lbs already since Tuesday and really looking forward to 11/6. It took the first two days to really get into the swing of things and not think about how hungry I am constantly. Now it's no big deal, I know what's waiting for me at the end of the tunnel and I can't wait!

I'm scheduled for the 13th! I'm so excited. I've done my pre-op meeting and paid for the surgery (I'm self pay). I'm finding I'm rather calm at the moment. Just a wonderful sense of peace with all this. I think the next few days will be packing and catching up with the family laundry. No real pre-op diet. I just had to lose 5% of my weight before I got my date. And now I've got to just keep it off (no last big splurge). Well, the day before I'm on clear liquids only (no red or purples). I get my surgery time Friday. I'm so excited I'm just rambling on.

Had my surgery yesterday, it went well. The Dr. found a hernia in my chest and repaired it as well. I walked 4 laps later that day and today I was able to eat jello, chicken both and drink water and crystal light. I'm a little sore and gassy but the hardest part is over. One day at a time. Going to the gym to do some cardio tomorrow. The key is to keep moving and it will definitely get better. Stay positive

2013 is my year....SD 11/19 Methodist Hosp in NY

Thanks Taty, my neck hurts tho. They said I probrobly was in a bad position during recovery. It's really sore, like I sprained it. That's really my only complaint. Yes it hurts a little when I cough but that's tolerable. My food is going down fine, my chest gets a little tight but that's because if the stitches inside from the hernia. My strips came off in the shower today and I have 4 very small incision that were glued closed. Once they completely heal you won't even be able to notice.
