Sorry Bryant bro! Been off the site for a bit. I'm from Middlesex County. How are you doing? How was your surgery and is your recovery going?

So far so good...doing well!! Back at work, but I wish I had worked from home today...apparently NYC got this storm a lot worse than we did in MIddlesex County! How've you been?

I'm having mine with Dr. Tichansky at Jefferson. I've heard very good things about HUP too!

For those who have been sleeved already, how much have you lost so far? Any regrets? Any tips to help me? Maybe something you wish you had known before surgery. Thanks in advance!

I am 17 months post op. I've lost 102lbs. Key is making sure you get your daily Protein intake. It's not as easy in the very beginning but you'll get there. My biggest issue has been seeing myself as thin. It's a mental thing for sure. For my entire life I hid behind my weight and now I don't have that to hide behind. It's been a process but I wouldn't change my decision to be sleeved as it has been the best decision I've ever made!

I had to find a new Dr. And am going for my visit on the 19th. My insurance kind of messed me up. Luckily I can continue with my pre op appointments and have them sent over. I am going to be seeing Dr. medvetz in Willingboro at Lourdes Hospital. Does anyone know anything about her?

. Excellent! I'm also doing well. Very thankful not to have complications I hear about from others on this site. The weather was awful Wednesday. I did take the day off.. Good luck on your journey!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
