Restaurant Food Choices? 19 Days Post Op.

My twins are getting confirmed today followed by a dinner at Applebees. Can you give suggestions as to what I could order? Thank you.

I would stick with a soup and avoid any chucks considering your only 19 days post op. I wouldn't think any surgeon would recommend solid foods that early

Oh I didnt realize how far out you were, so sorry!

I am 21 days post op and on purées and have eaten out a couple is times and have gotten a cup of a creamier soup or broth if you can, and it was great! I just ate very slowly, I even quietly got one of my small plastic spoons out of my purse and used that! It was weird to see the quantity everyone else was eating and realize I used to eat that much but now have no desire to!!!

If they have it' date=' broccoli cheese soup would be a good thing to try. Just avoid the big pieces of broccoli and eat the soupy part.[/quote']

Broccoli cheese soup is one of those foods that gives me dumping syndrome.. Too fatty I think but to each his/her own.

Thank you everyone! These are great suggestions! Since this is a celebratory event' date=' I didnt want to sit with everyone without something I could semi eat in front of them. Thank you![/quote']

Does everyone know the situation? I mean about your surgery?
