When I started my little journey back in March I weighed 479 pounds. I had to do 6 months of nutritional therapy before the surgery and I am now 1 week out from surgery. In that time I have lost a total of 91 pounds, 21 since my surgery 9/26. I did a little before and after comparison you can see below.

It's the little things that have kept me going. Like my wedding band that now spins around my finger instead of digging in, being able to get dressed without sounding like I just ran a mile and my husband being able to put his arms completely around me for the first time.

It wasn't easy, I spent A LOT of time hungry and craving. Especially during the 2 weeks before surgery on that awful diet, but I am already feeling better and it was sooooo worth it!

Fantastic! What a great accomplishment is such a short time! And so much of it was without the help of your new "tool"! Just think what you'll be able to accomplish in the next 12 months!

I can't wait to see your next set of pictures...........you'll be a "shadow" of your former self, with a smile so wide it will jump right off the page!

Keep up the great work, and great attitude. It only gets better from here......

Hubby puts his arms around me and just squeezes - and my wedding band is now on a chain he gifted me "made of finest silver from Spain" so I would no lose it. (my fav song is "Brandy" by Looking Glass)...

It is hard. It is awesome. I would do it again.

In the end, I did not survive, I thrived. You seem poised and accomplised and doing it too! Keep up the great work!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
