I Need Help Guys I Was Sleeved In April

Recommended Posts

I'm failing big time. I got sleeved in April and I have only lost 52 lbs. I'm really hungry most of the time and I'm snacking constantly. I'm just a failure when I thought no one could fail when getting sleeved. What can I do? I even gained weight

what hunger do you have? Can you just eat every 3 hours? I mean meal and snack in between? what about work out? Did you do something?

I heard that you can use boot camp to start again. do search on this forum....

So you have been sleeved about 5 months and have lost 52 pounds and you consider that failure? That rate is over 100 pounds a year. That sounds pretty successful to me. Dont be hard on yourself,we all have days when we eat to much, theres always tomorrow to get back on track. Follow the rules and you will get there. Good luck to you.

Thanks Donnie I'm just a little down since I feel like I'm stuck and yes I've been eating everything from the do not list so I know people like me go back to recover the weight and that scares me

You could consider the DS, the 2nd step for some sleevers...

Nothing is going to help untill you get some help for your eating issues. Maybe some counseling? Something is making you still want to eat. The sleeve is just a physical tool. If there are some emotional issues as to why you eat they aren't going to go away overnight.

Good luck on this journey. And a wise woman once told me, take out the ONLY. I have lost 52 pounds in 5 months! That is still 10 pounds a month! A huge accomplishment!

You are very welcome. Just remember,we are all indivisuals, some people lose faster, some people would kill to lose 52 pounds in 5 months. There will be ups and downs, some stalls and some weeks where you may lose 8-10 pounds, if you follow the rules...get your Protein in first and all the Water requirements you will get there. Personally I think whatever you are doing is working! You look great. Be patient, it will happen.

If you eat Protein first, it really helps limit your hunger and keeps you on track. 52 pounds in 5 months is great, but you need to get your snacking under control now.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
