If You Need A Diet To Follow Post-Op

I've seen a few people that they had their surgery in MX and weren't sure what to eat or how much protein they needed. I had my surgery through Kaiser and was given a website to get all the food, vitamin and shopping lists. I thought it might help someone if I posted the site.

kp.org/misg and click on bariatric surgery

Thanks it is very basic, I had my surgery in Mexico and received tons of info. It is also missing the pureed stage this helps to ease us back into foods in general.

I checked this link out and it took me to a membership page. Maybe someone that's not a member of Kaiser can't view it???

You don't have to be a member, just make sure you put the /misg after the kp.org

Good info, same as I got from Dr Fernando Garcia in Mexico:)

thanks for sharing this! I got a post op diet from my doctor but I felt like it was really lacking so I've been using what other people's doctors have recommended and taking it slow. Always appreciate seeing someone else's post op plan :)

Hi, i cant find it. What sub category? Thanks

Click on bariatric surgery, then at the top of the page is says patient resources, under that click on after surgery.

Thank you so much! It's very organized and concise. I truly appreciate your post!!!

This is nice, i've been so confused food wise, as i'm about 2 1/2 weeks out and according to my nutritionist, on the thicker liquid stage. Driving me nuts reading about people that are getting to have tuna and things...now i see why. I want to be conservative, but it helps me to know that people are eating more than thick liquids earlier and not being harmed. Yay.
