Muscle Milk And Nausea

Recommended Posts

I had a muscle milk today that was banana cream flavored. It made me very nauseas for at least 30 minutes. This is the second time I had tried one of these, same flavor. First one was about 5 weeks post op and I was fine with it. Now I really didn't like it much at 11 weeks. Has anyone else had this problem? I am a little bummed because banana creme used to be absolute favorite flavor pre-op, especially in yoplait light.

Tastes do change and over the course of my journey I must have switched "favorite" Proteins four or five times.

Muscle Milk was one I loved and absolutely cannot tolerate now. For me, I think the artificial sweeteners and flavors are what upset my system.

Try something new until you find something else you like. Buy samples or find a sample pack online until you find a few options that work. I found that sticking to basic flavors like chocolate, vanilla or coffee/cappuccino helped me enjoy a flavor much longer. It's easy to get tired of drinking the same shake every day.

It is funny that you mention banana as making you sick. I was given strawberry banana Jello in the hospital as well as strawberry banana yogurt. All i could taste was a sickening sweet banana taste. Disgusting...

I have heard taste can change dramatically

Only time I recall feeling sick post-op was after drinking a banana muscle milk two weeks ago. Who knows why, but I won't be going back for anymore of that.

Sent from my mobile productivity killer.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
