Did you have IV fluids in the hospital? This will definitely cause weight gain but it will come off.

I found that once I switched to solid food my weight stalled for a while. I assumed it probably had something to do with Fluid retention, which yours may too. If in a couple weeks you are still not on a downward trend I'd start asking questions, but for now you are probably recovering and retaining Water.< /p>

I agree w/ the others I was sleeved 9/12 but the following Wed was back in the hospital for dehydration & my left side incision pain - was pumped full of about 4 bags of IV Fluid & when I went to my 1st follow up on this past Monday & had only lost 4lbs I was discouraged even though I knew it had a lot to do w/ all the Fluid which the nurse told me your doing fine especially due to all that fluid I have in me which she said can take up to a few weeks to finally be out of your system...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
