Good thing....I reached 40 pounds lost this morning!! Yay!!

However, all I can say is, DON'T GET CONSTIPATED. Whatever you do. Figure out how to get enough Fiber, Water, etc. I had the most horrific morning-- I thought I was going to break blood vessels in my head...(sorry if TMI- but it's part of life right?)

Also, how's this for a coincidence- or is it? I had a horrible charley horse in the middle of the night- and unlike previous ones long ago, it was up to my thigh (calf and thigh!! yikes).

Those were my biggest fear with the surgery. I remember ANY time I had lost lots of weight -so it's not related to surgery- but fast weight loss and more Protein. Obviously I need to up pottasium I guess (for cramps), Water, and stool softener.

What a last few hours!! Shwew! :o

Glad you're on the other side of it now! I'm still pre-op but now I'm going to ask my nut about potassium on Monday. I forgot about the cramps!

Yikes! Like your loss not your agony! Dear lord charlie horses are the worst. I get the thigh ones if I try to bend my legs too far. Apparently 325lb me isn't as flexible as 20 years and 200lbs ago me. Who knew. There is a sugar free/reduced sugar plum juice that we buy for the clients at work that is a gentle way of moving things along. Sunsweet plumsmart I'm pretty sure is what it's called. I know it has some natural sugars and carbs but in small amounts for this specific reason it shouldn't hurt. We give it to a diabetic and it's really made a huge difference for him without effecting his bloodsugar. Sorry to hear your victory today was clouded by also being uncomfy!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
