Curious About Pain?

Recommended Posts

I've had my fair share of surgeries and am no stranger to post operative pain. What I'm wondering is how the pain and recovery for the sleeve compares to a complete hysterectomy. I didn't love the recovery but it wasn't to bad so I'm hoping it is comparable or less. Has anyone out there had a sleeve and a hysterectomy? How do they compare?

Id like to know the same thing........I had no pain except when I woke up and they were taking me to my room, as soon as they could I was on morhpine, kept on top of it. Never ever felt anything after that. I'm hoping thats how it will be when I get sleeved.......

I had no pain. I used the morphine pump anyways because I just wanted to sleep. It was a little painful getting up and down though but that was because of the incision sites and the cutting of my muscles. I had 6. :)

I have had both and have had almost no pain with the sleeve. 1st couple of days in the hospital I did use the morphine pump but I think the pain was more from trying to get in and out of bed than the actual surgery. Once home i didn't need it anymore.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
