I have had both and have had almost no pain with the sleeve. 1st couple of days in the hospital I did use the morphine pump but I think the pain was more from trying to get in and out of bed than the actual surgery. Once home i didn't need it anymore.

Curious when you decided to weigh for the first time after surgery? Today has been 1 week and I am afraid to get on the scale...don't want any disappointment. Thinking about waiting until follow-up with surgeon but that's not for 2 more weeks.....

Good luck!! I had surgery on Monday and was scared as well but the only pain I have had is just the stiffness in my belly...much better than I thought it would be

Surgery went great!! So glad to be home though hospital was so uncomfortable.

Surgery is Monday Aug 27...any tips for getting through this weekend?

Good luck and speedy recovery everyone. I just got scheduled for the 27th also. I was scheduled for Sept. 24 and they had a cancellation and moved me up. Very excited but so nervous as well.

Got a call today to move surgery up from 5 weeks away to just 10 days...so nervous but want this new life so badly
