Hi everyone. So I'm not sure where my port is - i think by my waist a few inches to the left of my bellybutton. All day i've been feeling funky! not pain pain but definitely discomfort. Could last nights cookie have broken something! Or I think I actually slept on my left side for the first time last night and I wonder if my body is telling me I'm not ready for that.

Wish I hadn't just used all my sick time becuz i'd rather just go home!

Hi all,

I'm so happy to have found a group to belong to! I'd love to join the challenge! I was banded on 10/30/06 in MA. I'm not getting a fill until 12/29 (taking a cruise 12/10 and didn't want to get sick on it, so waiting until after).

Anyway, I've lost 9lbs already, so feel like I'm cheating at the challenge by joining it today. However, the more foods I'm re-introduced to, the harder it's getting. I'm really hungry and struggling to keep portions small.

The support here is great--thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm!

I am up for the 10 pound holiday challenge. I would love to loose 10 pounds by Christmas. I have my first fill on November 28th and I have been working hard at walking on the treadmill at least 5 times a week. I feel like my scale is broken because it hasn't moved. I bought another one. Let's see what happens.

:sick Ouch. I haven’t posted in a couple of day’s because I have been in so much pain that going to work and coming home is the most I could stand. Its been four weeks as of yesterday Monday 11/13/06.. As of Friday I have been in pain. So today I couldn’t take it and I called the dr.’s office. I told them that I had lots of pain from 1-10 it was like and 8 so they told me to take my lortab 15ml every 4 hours. So the dr.’s office told me that it could be anything but more than likely it is that some of the sutures :omg: (spell) aka stitches, could have come apart from to much movements or lifting. I can’t take any time off it’s the busy season at work lots of talking and lots of guest. which equals lots of pain :cry

Well, I finally committed myself to a gym to workout. I have been walking on my treadmill at home but today was the first day I did cardio for 50 minutes and lifted weights for 1/2 hour. I feel better already. I have been down in the dumps because I haven't been losing wieght for the last 2 weeks.

Count me in. I want to lose at least 10 pound by Christmas. This is doable. I'm down 30 pounds since Oct. 3rd surgery. Just got my first fill yesterday.

Hi there....I am sorry your feeling so tough... I was banded the same day...and don't really have any pain at all..but I definitly know where the port is. It is a hard area just below the surface on my left side and is still protruding a bit there. But I have worked since the 30th and really had no problems...other than the general ouch when I wear too tight of pants around the waste once in a while, and bend over or something. I bet you did not hurt anything..we are all a bit "cautious" ...I know I am....every little thing makes you "wonder"....so good luck on feeling better soon....and hang in there....................:(

Hi everyone! I am stepping on the scale every day and haven't lost a pound in 4 days. Bummer! Of course, I did go out to eat with a friend and had spinach/cheese enchiladas, along with a drink. Bad, bad, bad!!! I didn't eat very much, though. I don't have my fill until the week after Thanksgiving. I am hungry often though. I just try to eat Soups. Let me know if there is something delicious and easy to take to work. Julz

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
